About Us

Our Story
In the summer of 2023, brothers Rohan and Rishab Anand ran their first sports session at Clarkston Community Center, in a town often called the most diverse square mile in America. The families they met were largely African American, Latino, and refugee households. Many parents were working two jobs. The center was where their kids went when home wasn’t an option.
The brothers kept coming back every week. Then they brought friends. Then they started collecting the equipment kids didn’t have, raising money for the courts that had fallen apart, and connecting children who loved a sport with leagues that could take them further. In 2024 they partnered with Emory’s Urban Health Initiative to fold nutrition and healthy-habit lessons into sessions at Agape and Sara J. Gonzalez Memorial Park.
Three years later, Rise ‘N’ Reach is a registered 501(c)(3) running free weekly programming at ten community centers across the United States and India, with more than a thousand children reached and a volunteer team that keeps showing up.
